CICU Launched Lean Manufacturing Cluster

Ludhiana, February 12, 2016: Mr Avtar Singh- President & Mr Upkar Singh Ahuja- General Secretary CICU, jointly, inaugurated the formation of cluster on lean manufacturing and said that cluster is a very strong tool to carry improvement in industries as industry has a lot by sharing of best practice & learn from each other.

CICU counselor will visit all. Cluster member will visit every week and give them training on how to improve and end of the month there will be a presentation from each cluster member about improvement carried out in their respective unit.

It is a need of an hour as industry is passing from a very crucial time due to competition from china and other countries.

The program was supported by NPC. Industry will learn how to save material, productivity, improvement in raw material yield.

SB Singh of M/s Taaran Industries NPC approved lean consultant who has been appointed to implement this briefed about activities of 5S, 3M & Kaizen, Productivity (OEE) improvement, Rejection reduction through use of 7QC tools & SMED etc. he also explained about benefits of implementing these concepts & the road map for implementation of this project over a period of 18 months.

The members of this cluster are New Swan Enterprises, Swan Innovation, Gem Exports, Falcon Garden Tools, Imperial Engineers Auto Pvt. Ltd, Swan Exports, JPS Corporation, R.J.S , Bins Auto, Amrit Enterprises etc.
