CICU leads Green Ludhiana Initiative with Mass Plantation Drive

Ludhiana, July 13, 2024: The Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) today organized a successful mass plantation drive at the entry to Focal Point, Dhandari Bridge, G. T. Road, Ludhiana. 

The event, aimed at promoting a greener Ludhiana, saw the participation of over 500 people from the city, including 80 prominent industrialists.
 
The drive was graced by Hardeep Singh Mundian, MLA- Sahnewal, who lauded CICU's efforts in spearheading this initiative.  Over 1000 saplings were planted, signifying a collective commitment to environmental sustainability.
 
CICU President Upkar Singh Ahuja, addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of environmental responsibility. "We are taking all the benefits from nature, but when it comes to giving back, we often hesitate. It is our duty to ensure a healthy environment for future generations. Let us all become nature lovers and contribute to saving our planet," he said.
 
The event was a testament to the growing awareness about environmental issues in Ludhiana. The participation of industrialists, local residents, and elected officials highlighted the collective desire to create a greener and healthier city.
