CICU Ludhiana delegation meets ADCP-IV Rupinder Kaur Sran
Sran emphasized the need of community patrolling by factory owners to curb the thefts
Ludhiana: Today, a delegation of Chamber of Industrial and Commercial undertakings (CICU) comprising of Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, J.S Bhogal, Organizing Secretary and Sarvjit Singh, Vice President, CICU met with Rupinder Kaur Sran, PPS, ADCP-IV.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU highlighted the problems being faced by industry in Focal Point. Of late many theft incidents of motor cycles outside the Factories have started happening in Focal Point. He also mentioned that serval organised Gangs of Vehicle thieves have started operating in these areas.
Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU suggested to have more Police Patrolling especially during days of salary payments to workers. Sh. Sharma, also suggested stop kiosks at chowks, as it is encouraging drug peddlers.
The members also complained to resolve permanent traffic problems near Dhandari Flyover.
Sran emphasized the need of community patrolling by Factory owners to curb the thefts. She further updated to the delegation that she will conduct a meeting with concerned officials and needed actions will be taken immediately as law & order in industrial areas are on top priority of the police department. Smt. Sran assured them to depute traffic constables especially during office hours.
