CICU organised 19th & 20th League Matches of S. Angad Singh Memorial - 10th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament – 2024

Ludhiana, January 19, 2025: CICU organised 19th and 20th League Matches of S. Angad Singh Memorial - 10th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament - 2024 on 19th Jan.  2025 were played between the teams of Asian Cranes V/s Highway Industries Ltd. Mangli and Uniparts India Ltd.  V/s. Eastman Cast & Forge at Cricket Grounds of GRD Academy Hambran Road, Ludhiana.

The 19th league match toss was won by Asian Cranes team and they decided to field first. Highway Industries Ltd. Mangli scored 107 runs in 18 overs by losing all wickets and Asian Cranes team scored 98 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. The match was won by Highway Industries Ltd. Mangli team by 9 runs. Mr. Sahil Prashar of Highway Industries Ltd. Mangli scored 29 runs with 4 fours in 20 balls and he was declared the Man of the Match. 
 

The 20th league match toss was won by Uniparts India Ltd. and decided bat first. They team scored 158 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets and Eastman Cast & Forge team scored 85 runs in 12.3 overs by losing all wickets. The match was won by Uniparts India Ltd. with 73 runs. Mr. Neeraj of Uniparts India Ltd. scored 29 runs with 4 fours, 2 sixes in 23 balls and he also took 5 wickets by giving only 5 runs in 3.3 overs. Neeraj was declared the Man of the Match. 
 

Upkar Singh Ahuja President CICU welcomed the Teams and Other Cricket lovers. He further said that now cricket has become India’s national sport. Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings is proud to be hosting the 10th Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament. Playing cricket develops social skills, intellectual capacities & creativity and contributes a more disciplined attitude. He visited the ground to motivate the Teams Players to boost their morale.
 

Honey Sethi, General Secretary, CICU, a great cricket lover said that Ludhiana is full of cricket fans and a lot of enthusiasm is seen among youngsters for this tournament. Watching live sport at the cricket ground is a fun filled and awesome experience. He played the third ball of the first over and discussed the best practices of cricket. He expressed his thanks to the team managers, players and sponsors of the tournament to make it great success. 
 

Many CICU Senior members and many senior management persons of many companies visited the ground and motivated the teams. They appreciated the ground preparation and arrangements made by CICU Cricket Committee.

They also congratulated the winning teams i.e. Highway Industries Ltd. Mangli and Uniparts India Ltd.
