CICU Organised 7th & 8th League Matches of S.Angad Singh Memorial - 10th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament – 2024

Ludhiana, November 17, 2024: CICU organised 7th and 8th League Matches of S.Angad Singh Memorial - 10th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament - 2024 on 17th Nov.  2024 were played between the teams of Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. V/s Texla Plastics and Metals and Ralson India Ltd. V/s. Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd. at Cricket Grounds of GRD Academy Hambran Road, Ludhiana.

The 7th league match toss was won by Texla Plastics and Metals team and they decided to field first. Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. team scored 157 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets and Texla Plastics and Metals team scored 101 runs in 16.2 overs by losing all wickets. The match was won by Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. team by 56 runs. Mr. Davinder Dahiya of Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. took 4 wickets by giving 9 runs in 3.2 overs and he was declared the Man of the Match. 

 
The 8th league match toss was won by Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd. and decided field first. Ralson India Ltd. team scored 103 runs in 18.4 overs by losing all wickets and Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd. team scored 104 runs in 9.2 overs by losing 4 wickets. The match was won by Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd. with 6 wickets. Mr. Aman Bhatia of Eastman Cast & Forge scored 39 runs with 3 fours, 2 sixes in 21 balls and also took 2 wickets by giving only 17 runs in 4 overs and he was declared Man of the Match. 
 

Upkar Singh Ahuja President CICU welcomed the Teams and Other Cricket lovers. He further said that now cricket has become India’s national sport. Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings is proud to be hosting the 9th Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament. Playing cricket develops social skills, intellectual capacities & creativity and contributes a more disciplined attitude. He visited the ground to motivate the Teams Players to boost their morale.
 

Honey Sethi, General Secretary, CICU, a great cricket lover said that Ludhiana is full of cricket fans and a lot of enthusiasm is seen among youngsters for this tournament. Watching live sport at the cricket ground is a fun filled and awesome experience. He played the third ball of the first over and discussed the best practices of cricket. He expressed his thanks to the team managers, players and sponsors of the tournament to make it great success. 
 

Many CICU Senior members and many senior management persons of many companies visited the ground and motivated the teams. They appreciated the ground preparation and arrangements made by CICU Cricket Committee.
