CICU organises Corporate T-20 cricket league tournament

Ludhiana, February 24, 2014: Avtar Singh, President, Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana said that sports are integral part of Corporate Team building and motivation.  CICU endeavour is to build up team sprits and develop expertise so as to help support and grow Corporate Business to achieve new heights by shaping the industry of tomorrow.  

Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, CICU said that now-a-days cricket is becoming India’s national sport.  Sports play a vital role in performance of companies and help in team building, making strategies and developing human resources.  CICU is proud to host first ever Corporate   T-20 Cricket League Tournament which commenced on October 6, 2013.  8 Teams comprising of New Industry Team-1, Spice Cube, Asian Cranes, Sovereign Exports, Deepak Fasteners, Big-Ben Exports and Star Cars & New Swan Industry Team-2, participated in the tournament which were divided into two groups.  Each Team played 3 league matches and the final was played on Sunday (February 23), between New Swan Industry Team-1 & Deepak Fasteners.

New Swan Enterprises Team-1; won the Final Match by 4 runs and 2 wickets. The tournament was sponsored by M/s Big-Ben Exports, M/s New Swan Group & M/s Sangeeta Steel Corporation.  A lot of enthusiasm was seen amongst city youngsters for this tournament which was played at Cricket Ground of SCD Govt. College for Boys, Ludhiana.   It was a fun-filled and awesome experience for the audience.
