CICU Organized 21st & 22nd League Matches of S.Angad Singh Memorial - 10th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament - 2024

Ludhiana, February 10, 2025: CICU organised 21st and 22nd League Matches of S. Angad Singh Memorial - 10th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament on 9th Feb. 2025 were played between the teams of CICU V/s Highway Industries Ltd. (Mangli) and Hero Steels Ltd.  V/s. Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. at Cricket Grounds of GRD Academy Hambran Road, Ludhiana.

The 21st league match toss was won by CICU team and they decided to bat first. They scored 218 runs in 20 overs by losing 3 wickets and Highway Industries Ltd. team scored 143 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. The match was won by CICU team by 75 runs. Harmanpreet Singh of team CICU scored 112 runs with 12 fours and 7 sixes in 63 balls and he was declared the Man of the Match. Gautam Malhotra Captain of Team CICU took 3 wickets by giving 28 runs in 4 overs and declared Best Bowler of this Match.
 
The 22nd league match toss was won by Hero Steels Ltd. and decided bat first. They scored 107 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets and Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. team scored 111 runs in 10.2 overs by losing 3 wickets. The match was won by Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. with 7 wickets. Mr. Gaurav Goyal of Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. scored 53 runs with 3 fours, 5 sixes in 48 balls and he was declared Man of the Match. 
 
Upkar Singh Ahuja President CICU welcomed the Teams and Other Cricket lovers. He further said that now cricket has become India’s national sport. Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings is proud to be hosting the 10th Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament. Playing cricket develops social skills, intellectual capacities & creativity and contributes a more disciplined attitude. He visited the ground to motivate the Teams Players to boost their morale.
 
Honey Sethi, General Secretary, CICU, a great cricket lover said that Ludhiana is full of cricket fans and a lot of enthusiasm is seen among youngsters for this tournament. Watching live sport at the cricket ground is a fun filled and awesome experience. He played the third ball of the first over and discussed the best practices of cricket. He expressed his thanks to the team managers, players and sponsors of the tournament to make it great success. 
 
Many CICU Senior members and many senior management persons of many companies visited the ground and motivated the teams. They appreciated the ground preparation and arrangements made by CICU Cricket Committee.

They also congratulated the winning teams i.e. CICU and Vardhaman Special Steels Ltd.
