CICU Organized 30th and 31st League Matches of  S. Angad Singh Memorial - 9th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament - 2023

Ludhiana, February 11, 2024: CICU organised 30th and 31st League Matches of S. Angad Singh Memorial - 9th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament - 2023 on 11th Feb. 2024 were played between the teams of Highway Industries Ltd. Sahnewal V/s Texla Plastics & Metals Pvt. Ltd. and Moonlight Auto Pvt. Ltd. V/s. Kay Jay Forgings Pvt. Ltd. at Cricket Grounds of GRD Academy Hambran Road, Ludhiana.

The toss was won by Highway Industries Ltd. Sahnewal and decided to bat first. Highway Industries Ltd. Sahnewal team scored 172 runs in 20 overs by losing 5 wickets and Texla Plastics & Metals Pvt. Ltd. team scored 98 runs in 19.4 overs by losing 10 wickets. The match was won by Highway Industries Ltd. Sahnewal by 74 runs. Mr. Rohit Yadav of Highway Industries Ltd. Sahnewal scored 36 runs with 4 fours in 29 balls and also took 4 wickets by giving 26 runs in 4 overs and he was declared best Performer of the match. 

The toss was won by Moonlight Auto Pvt. Ltd. and decided to bat first. Moonlight Auto Pvt. Ltd. team scored 107 runs in 18.1 overs by losing 10 wickets and Kay Jay Forgings Pvt. Ltd. team scored 110 runs in 12.5 overs by losing 2 wickets. The match was won by Kay Jay Forgings Pvt. Ltd. by 8 wickets. Sparsh Kothari of Kay Jay Forgings Pvt. Ltd. scored 42 runs with 6 fours and  1 six in 26 balls and also took 3 wickets by giving 27 runs in 4 overs and he was declared best Performer of the match.

Upkar Singh Ahuja President CICU welcomed the Chief Guest, Sponsors, Teams and Other Cricket lovers. He further said that now cricket has become India’s national sport. Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings is proud to be hosting the 9th Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament. Playing cricket develops social skills, intellectual capacities & creativity and contributes a more disciplined attitude. He visited the ground to motivate the Teams Players to boost their morale.
 

Honey Sethi, General Secretary, CICU, a great cricket lover said that Ludhiana is full of cricket fans and a lot of enthusiasm is seen among youngsters for this tournament. Watching live sport at the cricket ground is a fun filled and awesome experience. He played the third ball of the first over and discussed the best practices of cricket.
