CICU Organized Fifth and Sixth League Matches of 5th T-20 Cricket Tournament - 2018

Ludhiana, October 29, 2018: Fifth CICU Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament 2018 took a start on October 14 with great excitement. The tournament matches will be played on every Sunday, which is spread over period of 8+ weeks at Modern Cricket Stadiums at Village Duley, Adjacent to Phalahi Sahib Gurdwara on Dehlon Canal Bank on Ludhiana – Dehlon Road, Ludhiana and Village Sahni Near Sahnewal. Eight Teams of different companies like M/s Aarti International Ltd., Citizen Press Components, New Swan Enterprises, Ludhiana Beverages, Highway Industries Ltd, Kundan Lal & Sons, Arisudana Industries Limited and Big Ben Exports have registered to play this Tournament. These Teams will be divided into two Groups and 3 League matches will be played by each team, followed by semifinals and final matches of the Tournament.

Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja President CICU welcomed the Participating Team and Cricket Lovers who have come in large numbers to enjoy the live cricket. He said that Ludhiana is full of cricket fans and a lot of enthusiasm is seen among youngsters for this tournament. Watching your sport live at the cricket ground is a fun filled and awesome experience. Sports are integral part of corporate team building and motivation. CICU endeavor is to build up a team spirit and develop expertise so as to help, support and grow corporate business to achieve new heights by shaping the industries of tomorrow. He also appreciated the participating teams for playing exciting & good cricket with discipline.

This Sunday i.e. 28th Oct. 2018, matches were played at Cricket Stadiums at Village Duley, Adjacent to Phalahi Sahib Gurdwara on Dehlon Road, Ludhiana.

In the morning session, 5th league match was played between Teams of Aarti International Ltd. & New Swan Enterprises. The toss was won by New Swan Enterprises and they decided to bat first. They scored 130 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. Aarti International Ltd. scored 126 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. The Match was won by New Swan Enterprises by 4 runs. Mr. Davinder Kalsi batsman of New Swan Enterprises was declared Man of the Match, who scored 54 runs with 5 fours in 54 balls.

In the evening session, 6th League match was played between Teams of Arisudana Industries Ltd. & Highway Industries Ltd. The toss was won by Highway Industries Ltd. and they decided to bat first. They scored 165 runs in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets and Arisudana Industries Ltd. by chasing the target scored 101 runs in 15.5 overs by losing 10 wickets. Highway Industries Ltd. won the match by 64 runs. Mr. Jitendar batsman of Highway Industries Ltd. was declared Man of the Match, who scored 74 runs with 7 fours and 2 sixes in 56 balls.
