CICU organized mass plantation drive and environment excellence awards

Ludhiana, August 14, 2019: Today, CICU organized “Mass Planation Drive and Environment Excellence Awards” to make the city green, polluted free and motivate & honour the individuals, companies ,NGOs SPV and resource providers from Ludhiana and different part of the Punjab State.

27 individuals, companies and NGOs, SPV and resource providers got award from Prof.Satwinder Singh Marwaha, Chairman, & Er.Gulshan Rai, Chief Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board.

They also honored Joginder Kumar, Ex-President, Electroplating Industries for his contribution in setting up of a CETP of electroplating industries.

Upkar Singh, President CICU addressed some small issues faced by industrialists to the Chairman and Chief Environmental Engineer PPCB. He also said that the objective of this program to control the pollution, make it eco-friendly and speared the information to others.

Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU said that CICU has been organizing this event more than 20 years to maintain the environment and awareness about control the pollution. CICU will plant 5,000 trees in specific areas of Ludhiana, where greenery is low.

Prof.Satwinder Singh Marwaha, Chairman, & Er. Gulshan Rai, Chief Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board said that the small issues shared in the meeting will be taken up on priority basis and also appreciated the work of CICU.

The vote of thanks was presented by J.S Bhogal, Publicity Secretary, CICU.

The awards were decided by a committee of jury members S.B Singh, Joint Secretary, Gautam Malhotra, Vice President, Honey Sethi, Organizing Secretary and Rajat Gupta, Press Secretary CICU.

The meeting was attended by more than 250 members from industries by some namely Gopi Kohatri, T.R Misra, O.P Bassi, S.C Ralhan, Rajnish Ahuja, K.K Garg, Inderjit Singh Sohal, S.M. Mehta, Archana Saroop, R.P Sharma, Harkesh Mittal, Jatinder Paul Singh, Ishang Dada, Naveen Behl, Sanjay Soni, CoL. K. Christopher, Sanjay Dhiman, Harsimarjit Singh lucky, Ravinder Saini, K.R Vij, B.D Ghauri, Inderpal Singh, Hitesh Dang, Nandini from Sarv Sahyog and other prominent members of the Chamber.
