Ludhiana, September 14, 2019: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana organized Medical Health Camp and Workshop on Basic Industrial Safety, First Aid, OHS (Operational Health & Safety).
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President and Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU, said that the workers in the units are comes from different states like U.P, Bihar, Nepal and other to find livelihood in Punjab and are not able to check their health status on regular, in this regard CICU organized Free Dental Care & Medical Health Camp.
The camp stationed at the New Swan Enterprises Unit-II, Focal Point, Phase-8 in the city was instrumental in inspecting the teeth and health of around more than hundred workers of the company and the staff members. Doctors and other medical experts present at the camp provided free medicines, treatment, advices about health and useful tips to the workers. The team of Doctors also aware the workers for not to use of Tabaco products.
On same day a Workshop on Basic Industrial Safety, First Aid, OHS (Operational Health & Safety) in CICU Complex was held by Pani Kumar Naidu. He has 28 years of strategic cross-functional and leadership experience – evenly spread out in EMS and healthcare industry. He was in the initial core team while establishing world’s largest EMS (Emergency Medical Services) services in India EMRI (108). He was also a consultant for Ministry of Health (MoH), Royal Government of Bhutan and Created History by merging Emergency Medical Services and Health Management under one roof called HHC (Health Help Center-112).
In his session he covered Physical training and demo through necessary life-saving tools & techniques, Mock Drills, Practical demonstration of first aid equipment, Demonstrating the use of safety equipment, Group Discussions.
J.S Bhogal, Publicity Secretary, CICU also motivate the participants about safety in industry as well as in domestics.
The Workshop was attend by more than 50 Participants.
