CICU & PSAIMA organised a meeting for business promotion

Ludhiana, March 28, 2015: A meeting was organised by Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) Ludhiana with Members of Punjab State Agricultural Implements Manufacturers Association (PSAIMA) at CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana. More than 50 members of PSAIMA attended the meeting.

While delivering the welcome address Avtar Singh President CICU informed about the various activities and achievements of the Chamber for the benefit of the trade & industry. He assured the association members to extend full cooperation of CICU for the development and export promotion of their industries.

The members were informed in details about forthcoming international event Agritech Africa at Nairobi, Kenya from 17th to 19th June 2015. Kenya is a major agricultural economy having great potential for import of agricultural implements/machinery from the manufacturers of Punjab.

Sanyal Desai, CEO of Radeecal Communications, Ahmadabad discussed the details of Agritech Africa to facilitate participation of various members of the association to explore the most emerging markets for their benefits, in Africa, specially Kenya.

The participants were enlightened with different concepts of Lean Manufacturing techniques by S.B. Singh, Publicity Secretary of CICU which will help them in improving the productivity, quality and costs. The development of the clusters in Moga and Talwandi area were reviewed by Pathak, Asst. Director, MSME-DI Ludhiana. He also explained the government schemes under MSME for the benefit of the agricultural implements industry.

John M. Mwaniki, Dy. Director, Extension Services, Agriculture Department, Republic of Kenya explained the members about the various opportunities in Kenya relating to agro industries and the support provided by his Govt. for trade promotion among the Kenya and Punjab.

The President of the Association, Baldev Singh Amar, General Secretary, Rajdeep Singh Ludhiana, Press Secretary, S.S. Passi, and Malkiat Singh Jalandhar informed the participants about latest activities & achievements of their association.

In the concluding remarks S.S. Passi, Vice President CICU conveyed his sincere thanks to all the participants and guests who attended the meeting and shared valuable and useful inputs for the benefit of trade & industry.
