CICU successfully concludes Day 2 of Buyer-Seller Meet in collaboration with MSME
The Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), successfully hosted the second day of its Buyer-Seller Meet at the CICU Focal Point Complex. The event, which has become one of the largest industrial gatherings in the region, saw participation from over 2,200 visitors and 25+ prominent Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Ludhiana, January 11, 2025: The Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), successfully hosted the second day of its Buyer-Seller Meet at the CICU Focal Point Complex. The event, which has become one of the largest industrial gatherings in the region, saw participation from over 2,200 visitors and 25+ prominent Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
The meet created a platform for MSMEs to connect with leading OEMs, resulting in business transactions estimated at ₹250 crore. Major industry players, including JCB Private Limited, Mother Son Group, Swaraj Tractors, Sonalika International Cars & Motors Ltd., SML Isuzu Pvt. Ltd., Uno Minda Limited, Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, Rockman Industries Limited, Kangaro Industries Limited, Avon Cycles Ltd., Mitsuba India Pvt. Ltd., Uni Parts Group, and JBM Group, participated in the event.
CICU President Upkar Singh Ahuja expressed gratitude to the participants, saying, “This event has opened new avenues for businesses to collaborate and grow. The overwhelming response showcases the strength of Ludhiana’s industrial sector and its contribution to the national economy.”
Focus on Business Growth and Collaboration
The Buyer-Seller Meet emphasized fostering collaborations across diverse sectors, including automotive, agriculture, defense, and manufacturing. Sourcing teams from the participating OEMs engaged directly with MSMEs, providing insights into procurement requirements and registration processes.
The event also featured discussions on emerging technologies, export promotion strategies, and leveraging government schemes to enhance MSME competitiveness. With ₹250 crore in business generated, the meet underscored Ludhiana’s position as a hub for industrial innovation and growth. Visitors and exhibitors praised the initiative, highlighting its role in strengthening supply chains and creating opportunities for small and medium enterprises.
The Buyer-Seller Meet, organized by CICU, is a flagship event aimed at bridging the gap between MSMEs and large-scale industry players. It aligns with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative by promoting local manufacturing and industrial development.
