CICU to inaugurate AWaDH CPS Lab tomorrow at CICU Complex in collaboration with IIT Ropar Technology and Innovation Foundation

Ludhiana, February 19, 2025: The Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) is excited to announce the inauguration of a AWaDH CPS  Lab  Centre of Excellence at the CICU Complex tomorrow at Focal Point, Ludhiana, developed in collaboration with the IIT Ropar Technology and Innovation Foundation. The Centre will provide advanced research, development, and deployment resources for cutting-edge Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

The AWaDH CPS Lab, a key component of this Centre, will offer both hardware and software resources, allowing students, researchers, and innovators to gain hands-on experience in CPS experimentation and technology development. The lab aims to be a vital hub for startups and entrepreneurs working on smart technology solutions.

Key Objectives of AWaDH CPS Lab:
1.      Education and Training: To provide professionals, researchers, and students with practical knowledge and skills in IoT-related smart technologies, helping them bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.
2.      Research and Development: To stimulate research in the IoT sector, encouraging fresh ideas and the development of innovative, cutting-edge solutions in CPS and IoT fields.
3.      Prototyping and Testing: To provide a platform for the prototyping and testing of IoT devices, sensors, and smart solutions, fostering experimentation and bringing theoretical ideas to life.
4.      Collaboration: To foster collaboration between students, researchers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to share knowledge, develop new solutions, and drive technological innovation.

The inauguration will feature distinguished guests, including Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Chairperson HGB & Director of IIT Ropar; Dr. Pushpindra P. Singh, Dean (R&D) IIT Ropar; Osamu Shimada, Deputy Managing Director of Panasonic Smart Factory Solutions; Dr. Radhika Trikha, CEO of IIT Ropar Technology and Innovation Foundation - AWaDH; Tejveer Singh, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Local Government; Manish Gupta, Former Chairman of CII & Lead, Synergy Enterprises, and Member Hub Governing Board, IIT Ropar TIF AWaDH; and Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora, Former Executive Director, PSCST & Member Hub Governing Board, IIT Ropar TIF AWaDH.
