CICU to strengthen Gill Road Office to support small units

Ludhiana, June 25, 2023: The meeting was chaired by Honey Sethi, General Secretary CICU & Dr. S.B Singh Joint Secretary, CICU along with CFT Members & Staff Members of CICU Gill Road Office was organized to review the services provided by this office to the MSMEs in this area.
During the meeting, it was discussed in detail how CICU can provide more & best value-added services to the Industry & Trade through the CICU Technical Centre consisting of a Spectrometer Lab & Testing & Certification of Calibration & Measurement Instruments by the Industry. These services are provided by CICU at very reasonable/discounted rates to the industry. Technical Centre is also providing training & certification to the youth for Quality Inspector & Spectrometer Operator jobs in the industry which is in high demand. Recently many new services have been added to the existing services for the benefit of Industry & Trade.
Honey Sethi, General Secretary, shared that CICU at Gill Road is also having a Skill Development Centre under the CICU Training provider. The centre is Accredited & Affiliated by the Ministry of MSDE, NSDC & PSDM to provide training under various Govt. Schemes to the educated youth for providing jobs as Computer Operator, DTP, Digital Marketing, Web Designing, Punjabi & Hindi Typing, Programming Languages, CAD 2D-3D, Accounts with Tally Prime/GST, CNC Operator, Front-Line Operation Executive/ Manager, Documentation Assistant, Store & Inventory Executive. Youth after skill training are immediately provided with the jobs.
Recently CICU has started its Academy of Skill Trainings, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Programs for Diploma, Graduates & Post-Graduates Pass Outs. The Certified Courses are provided for Computer, IT, Engineering & Management Courses. The Skill Training provided is very helpful for making them employable in the Industry & Trade, immediately.
Recently in May 2023 CICU organized Mega Job Fair with State Govt. & providing jobs to 3184 candidates. More than 6000 educated unemployed youth attended this program.
Satinder Singh Autom, Head CFT, Satinder Singh Barnala, Vice President, N K Gupta, Director CICU, Amrik Singh, Incharge Technical Lab, with their staff participated in the meeting. Many new & innovative ideas were discussed to upgrade & providing more services in an efficient & effective way for the benefit of Industry & Trade Sectors.
