CICU welcomes Nasim Arshi as Commissioner of Customs

Ludhiana, October 4, 2024: The executive members of the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) warmly welcomed Nasim Arshi upon his appointment as the new Commissioner of Customs in Ludhiana. The meeting, led by CICU President Upkar Singh Ahuja, provided a platform for an open dialogue regarding the pressing concerns of exporters in the region.
 
During the meeting, Upkar Singh Ahuja presented a comprehensive overview of the challenges faced by exporters, emphasizing the need for streamlined customs processes to enhance trade efficiency. Arshi emphasised that any issues faced by exporters at the customs level would be addressed on a priority basis, reinforcing his commitment to facilitating smoother operations for businesses. This assurance was welcomed by the CICU members, who expressed optimism about the potential for improved collaboration between the customs department and the local business community.
 
Upkar Singh Ahuja also highlighted the various initiatives undertaken by CICU, including a successful export training program aimed at equipping local exporters with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in competitive markets.
