CICU-Women Entrepreneur Forum organised Seminar on “HR excellence through Emotional Intelligence”
The objective of the seminar was to throw some light on the changing trends in Human Resource Management practices
Ludhiana: Seminar on “HR excellence through Emotional Intelligence” was organized by the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertaking -Women Entrepreneur Forum on Saturday, January 30, 2021. It was very fruitful & interactive session conducted by. Dr. Parmod Lamba from Chandigarh. He highlighted the futuristic shift in the Role of HR emphasizing the ever increasing importance of Emotional Intelligence in Corporate world.
The objective of the seminar was to throw some light on the changing trends in Human Resource Management practices along with imparting and understanding on Emotional Intelligence and its importance at various levels in an Organization.
Archana Sarup, welcomed all the participants and the speaker of the evening. She drawn the attention of the Budding Women Entrepreneurs to the fact that HR strategies are integral to the Organizational Development.
Dicky Chhabra, also added the purpose of this forum which is to empower women and told the vision of this forum. She told about the upcoming social activities to be done by Women Forum in future.
Ikpreet Kaur welcomed the Guest Speaker and thanked the women entrepreneurs for their participation in this seminar. She also brought out the important and shift in the role of Human Resource Managers over the decade.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Parmod Lamba, who is a Consultant and Strategic Advisor by profession through his guest lecture brought about a detailed understanding of how the role of HR in most organization is evolving with time. Dr Parmod Lamba who has more than 35 years of experience in the field of HR and has been on the Board of Many companies explained in detail the importance of Human Resource Management. He further quoted examples in real world depicting the shift in Role of Human Resource from just Managing to Strategic role. With automation and digitization at its full pace, it is even more evident than ever that the role of HR in near future would be more specialized than now.
The guest speaker also highlighted the role of Emotional Intelligence and how it is going to be an integral part of various HR activities in the business. He also emphasized to incorporate EQ as an integral part of Leadership Training to be able to have much evolved and efficient management in digital or machine driven world.
An esteemed member of CICU-WEF, Mridula Jain, Chairperson of Shingora Textiles Ltd. marked her presence at the seminar and applauded the efforts of women forum for its first physical seminar which went very well. More than 30 Women Entrepreneurs from various Industries attended the Seminar.
Some Core Committee member i.e. Dicky Chhabra, Rajni Jaidka Sethi, Archana Sarup, Vimmi Bajaj and Ikpreet Ahuja were also present.
