CII Ludhiana Zone organised Interactive Session on EPFO Compliances and Services for Employers  

Ludhiana, October 5, 2023: CII Ludhiana Zone Organised Interactive Session on Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Employer’s Compliances & Services for their members in collaboration with Regional Provident Office, Ludhiana at Avon Cycles Ltd, premises today. Interaction aimed at information exchange, handholding and grievance redressal of employers. The program was attended by 50 plus CII members attended the same. 

In the opening remarks, Rishi Pahwa, Chairman, CII, Ludhiana Zone and JMD Avon Cycles Limited stressed that as an entrepreneur, we have to understand Compliances & Responsibility related to social security of our employees and also encouraged members to improve compliance and also opt for voluntary coverage/registration of establishments to extend the social security benefits to maximum workforce.

During the programme Accounts Officer Pooja Kohli of the EPFO gave a detailed insight about the EPF and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 and The Schemes. The Officer elaborated in detail the provisions of the Employees' Pension Scheme 1995 and the Employees Deposit Linked Insurance scheme, 1976 and the responsibility of establishments in registering and compliance process of their employees.

Saurabh Swami, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner and Chief Guest of the Event stressed on expanding the net of Social Security cover to the uncovered workers and labourers especially contract workers and creating awareness about the benefits available to the PF members under the EPF & MP Act, 1952 and schemes framed thereunder. He answered all the queries of the CII Members and welcomed their suggestions. Issues of some employers were also noted for early resolution. Members were also apprised about recent initiatives of EPFO like online services, ABRY Scheme, Prayas Scheme, e-nomination facility and about different portals.

Ravi Sinha, Arvinder Bharti, Bhupendra Kr. Singh, Vipin Kumar, Manish Kumar EPFO officials were also present during the interaction with CII Members.

It was a fruitful session for one and all that concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Lokesh Jain, Vice Chairman, CII Ludhiana and also presents a token of gratitude to the guest speaker.
