CIIS and WWICS to convert their college campus into isolation ward for covid-19 patients
The government officials have visited the campus
Mohali: In a bid to fight against COVID-19 outbreak, which is rapidly spreading across the country; World’s largest immigration group WWICS and Continental Institute for International Studies (CIIS) have put forward a proposal to convert its college campus into a quarantine/isolation unit for possible patients impacted by this pandemic.
The government officials have visited the campus, which is located in Jalvehra, Fatehgarh Sahib on G.T.Road, NH-1 near Chandigarh and all the sanitation work has already been started. In an effort to protect students and housekeeping staff living on campus from COVID-19, the college authorities have taken proactive steps to provide separate living spaces for them so that they’re less likely to come into contact with coronavirus.
“WWICS Group understands the importance of working together as a community to help curtail the spread of this virus. In these unprecedented times, we are fully committed to play a constructive role in supporting the individuals on the frontlines of this fight against Covid-19. I appeal everyone to come forward at this hour of need”, Lt. Col. B.S. Sandhu (Retd.), Chairman & Managing Director, WWICS Group of Companies said.
Continental Institute for International Studies (CIIS) is the education wing of WWICS Group. Besides converting campus into isolation units, the WWICS group has been actively involved in other social activities and has organized various charitable events in the past as well.
