Cinépolis celebrates yet another successful year of National Popcorn Day with patrons

Bangalore, January 21, 2019: Cinépolis, India’s 1st International and the world’s 2nd largest movie theatre circuit in attendance, celebrated yet another lively and memorable National Popcorn Day #CinépolisPopcornDay. Movie connoisseurs from across Delhi and Mumbai were invited to enjoy a day-long series of festivities at Cinépolis DLF Place, Saket and Cinépolis Andheri. As part of the celebrations, Cinépolis brought alive the concept of a popcorn family through live characters comprising of Daddy Popcorn, Mommy Popcorn and Little Popcorn. Guests were greeted by a special dance performance by Cinépolis employees while the Popcorn Family interacted with the audience through thrilling cameo performances. The patrons also got a chance to click selfies with the popcorn characters while they danced on lively music. Right from the décor to the employee uniforms, the theme of National Popcorn Day was recreated across Cinépolis theatres. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Devang Sampat, Director – Strategic Initiatives, Cinépolis India said, “At the crux of the unique Cinépolis experience is offering a fun movie viewing environment to our loyal patrons. Watching a movie is not complete without popcorn. Therefore, we are delighted to be successfully celebrating our fourth year of National Popcorn Day and honouring a day dedicated to the most-loved snack in such a perfect way.” Cinépolis commenced celebrating National Popcorn Day in 2016, setting it off with a theme that is creative and peppy to the core. With each year the celebrations are made more exciting with new additions to the festivities. This time-honored treat is available at Cinépolis theatres in three different variants such as butter salted, cheese and caramel.
