Ludhiana, September 29, 2023: The Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) is pleased to announce the highly anticipated CIPHET-IIFA 2023 - Industry Interface Fair on Agro-processing & Kisan Mela, scheduled to take place from the 3rd to the 5th of October, 2023. This grand event promises to be a pivotal platform for fostering collaboration between the agro-processing industry and the farming community. ICAR-CIPHET, a pioneer in post-harvest technology research and development, has been at the forefront of driving innovation in agro-processing and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
The key highlights of CIPHET-IIFA 2023 includes Industry Interface Meet on food processing and fibre processing technology, Kisan Mela, Knowledge Sharing, Networking, Business Opportunities including Innovation Pavilion.
ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata & ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai are the other knowledge collaborators in this event. ICAR-NINFET will present technology and products from natural fibers for a wide array of products, including apparel, home textiles, handicrafts, and more, using natural materials like jute, hemp, flax, nettle, ramie, yak hair, and blends. Whereas, ICAR-CIRCOT will present breakthroughs in cotton processing, including naturally coloured cotton, highly breathable fabric, wound dressings, smart textiles, air-purifying curtains, salt-free dyeing, bio-enriched compost, and rapid-burning briquettes
On this occasion, a Kisan Mela will provide a unique platform for farmers to interact with experts, researchers, and industry leaders. They will gain valuable insights into modern food processing techniques, food quality and food safety compliances. An attractive addition to this Kisan mela is that food &fiber products manufactured by ICAR stakeholders will be available for display and sale to the participants.
Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director of ICAR-CIPHET, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event, saying, "CIPHET-IIFA 2023" is a significant step towards empowering our farming community and advancing the agro-processing industry.
The event will be held at the ICAR-CIPHET Campus in PAU Campus, Ludhiana Punjab, and is expected to attract a diverse audience of farmers, industry professionals, policymakers, students, and the general public, having an expected footfall of 5000+ stakeholders.
