Civic action programme organized by 116 Battalion of BSF
The 116 Battalion of BSF today conducted a Free Medical Camp at BOP Wakha for the villagers
Ferozepur, December 30, 2021: The 116 Battalion of BSF today conducted a Free Medical Camp at BOP Wakha for the villagers. Around 100 villagers attended the camp who were provided the free medicines by the BSF medical officers.
Besides, a Volleyball match was also organised between BSF and local youth of village Wakha and Mast Ke to enhance bonding and coordination. More than 100 civilians, Sarpanch and other dignitaries witnessed the game and praised the efforts of BSF.
Meanwhile, cultural team of 116 Battalion of BSF presented musical events for villagers ,which was applauded by one and all.
Davinder Singh IAS ,DC Ferozepur attended the programme as the Chief Guest . On this occasion 22 local youths were presented professional kit bag containing items related to electrician and carpentry works.
It is pertinent to mention here that 22 local youth of Basti Ramlal and surrounding villages have been trained in Electrician and Carpentry trade for 4 weeks at BOP Wakha by the BSF jawans belonging to 116 Battalion.
Om Parkash Commandant 116 Battalion said that after successful trade training, these local youths were provided their respective kit related to carpentry and electrical job, which will help them in earning livelihood for their family.
DC Ferozepur praised the efforts of BSF for providing free medical camp, volleyball match and especially the trade training for the local youth ,which will be proved fruitful in earning job.
This overall event has been planned by Om Prakash, Commandant 116 Bn under Civic Action Programme. Ish Aul Commandant Ops/Officiating DIG BSF Ferozepur was also present throughout the event , witnessed the programme and praised the efforts of BSF.
