Civil Surgeon flags off van regarding awareness of malaria
This van would specially create awareness regarding Malaria in 9 villages
Ludhiana: Under the supervision of Civil Surgeon Ludhiana Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga, an awareness van to create awareness about Malaria disease amongst masses was flagged off from Civil Surgeon Office, here today. This van would specially create awareness regarding Malaria in 9 villages under two CHCs namely Koom Kalan and Sahnewal, where Malaria cases were reported last year.
Directions regarding ways to check the spread of Malaria fever have already been issued and every year, Anti Malaria Month is organised in the month of June and this year’s theme is “Zero Malaria Starts With Me”. Under this initiative, awareness camps would be organised by all health organisations by keeping in mind COVID 19 directions.
Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga have informed that for organising Anti Malaria Month, different varieties of fish would be put in different ponds in villages, that would eat the mosquito larvae. Several activities would also be organised in different areas of Ludhiana city in association with Municipal Corporation Ludhiana. He said that pamphlets are being distributed and posters are being pasted in different areas of the district.
