Jalandhar, January 4, 2013 : Punjab Government has decided to continue with the old system of registration of sale deeds of immovable properties in Jalandhar district on the basis of power of attorney upto March 31.
In an interaction with the media persons, the Punjab CPS Krishan Dev Bhandari said he had met the Revenue Minister Punjab Bikram Singh Majithia in connection with the registration of sale deeds and the minister has issued instructions to continue the very old system of registering sale deeds of immovable properties on the basis of power of attorney till March 31.
It is pertinent to mention that to tighten noose around the tax evaders, Priyank Bharti, former DC, Jalandhar had ordered on August 2 last, directing the revenue officials of obtaining the declaration forms from the applicants of power of attorney.
