Clay, Paper and Words created a spree of art at Vet Varsity on 2nd day of Youth festival

Ludhiana, October 14, 2022: 11th Youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana today witnessed Collage, Clay Modeling, Elocution and Poetry Competitions. Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Director Research, Dr. S.K. Uppal, Dean Postgraduate Studies, Dr. A.K. Arora, Controller of Examinations, was the guest of honour for the morning session. Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Students’ welfare said that the youth festival aims to propagate the concept of national integration, communal harmony, brotherhood, courage and adventure amongst the youth by providing them a platform for inculcating values and respect for traditions, culture and heritage. Dr. S.K. Mendiratta, Dean, College of Dairy Science and Technology was guest of honor in yesterday's afternoon session and Dr. H.K. Verma, Principal, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar graced the occasion during today’s morning session.

Dr. A.P.S. Brar, organizing secretary of the festival, detailed that the topic for Collage Making was ‘Fashion’. Total 12 students participated in Collage Making competition. Topics for Clay Modelling ‘Two Figures in Action’, total 12 students participated in Clay Modelling competition. In all the competitions, students from different colleges of university named College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Science College, Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated along with affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar in these events. The students were highly motivated and participated with high spirits. 

Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Welfare Officer GADVASU informed that On the Spot Painting (08.00.a.m), Installation (11.00 a.m.) and Rangoli Making (02.00. p.m) will be held on 15.10.2022 at Examination Hall of College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana.
