Ludhiana, September 1, 2023: Upkar Singh Ahuja, President-CICU in collaboration with the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation has taken a significant step towards promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability in the Focal Point area of Ludhiana.
Recognizing the importance of a clean and green industrial environment, Ahuja and Sandeep Rishi, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Ludhiana have joined hands to launch a comprehensive cleanliness drive that aims to enhance the hygiene and aesthetics of the industrial zones while contributing to a healthier and more sustainable ecosystem.
Honey Sethi, General Secretary-CICU along with work force and equipment provided by MCL is carrying over the activity under his supervision.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President of CICU, expressed his optimism regarding the collaboration, stating, "A clean and green industrial area not only improves the quality of life for the workforce but also enhances the image of Ludhiana as an industrial hub.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CLEANLINESS DRIVE:
Rigorous Cleaning Campaign: The initiative will kick off with a rigorous cleaning campaign aimed at removing accumulated waste, debris, and litter from the Focal Point & Industrial area. This effort will not only improve the overall appearance but also help in preventing pollution.
Waste Management Solutions: CICU and the Municipal Corporation will work together to implement effective waste management solutions. This includes setting up waste segregation units, recycling facilities, and proper disposal mechanisms to ensure responsible handling of industrial waste.
