Chandigarh, April 23, 2025: In celebration of Earth Day, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Panjab University organized a Cleanliness drive to promote environmental awareness and community responsibility among students.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Anuj Kumar, Coordinator of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Panjab University. Many students from various departments actively participated in this noble initiative, demonstrating enthusiasm and dedication toward keeping their surroundings clean.
The cleanliness drive primarily focused on cleaning the surrounding areas of the Student Centre, which is one of the most frequented spots on the university campus. Volunteers diligently collected waste, segregated it into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories, and ensured proper disposal.
The cleanliness drive was a great success, leaving a positive impression on the participants and reinforcing the importance of individual responsibility in environmental conservation.
