Ludhiana: The closing ceremony of District Basketball Championship U17-U19 was held today at Guru Nanak Stadium.
The chief guest was Arshpreet Singh Mundi, a young and successful entrepreneur of Ludhiana. He distributed prizes to the winners in the presence of scores of dignitaries including Teja Singh Dhaliwal, Sr VP BFI, Gurjeet Ramana, SP (Retd), JP Singh, President DBA Ludhiana, Sumesh Chadda, VP DBA, Vijay Chopra, VP PBA, Avnish Agarwal, Gen Sec DBA.
The championship trophy in boys U19 was lifted by Gymkhana Club after defeating BIS club 32-25.
Guru Nanak Club beat Khalsa Club 35-30 to win the girls U19 trophy.
Speaking on the occasion, Teja Singh Dhaliwal said that emerging players from these championships will go on to star for India in international arenas in future. Mundi also spoke, promising all possible support to promote basketball in Ludhiana.
Goyal, Fin Sec DBA thanked all coaches and referees for their valuable support in the successful conduct of these championships.
All coaches were honoured.
