LUDHIANA, July 27, 2018: Punjab Government would honour SDM Payal Swati Tiwana and her team for the effective implementation of Drug Abuse Prevention Officer (DAPO) program.
Along with SDMT Payal, SDMTs from Barnala, Patti and Abohar would also be honoured by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh in a state level function of Independence Day being organized at Ludhiana on August 15.
Revealing the details, SDM Tiwana said that recently, a high level meeting of DAPO program was held in Ludhiana which was headed by STF IG Pramod Ban and attended by SDMs from five districts.
She said that for the selection of teams, four clusters were formed following which SDM Barnala was chosen from cluster - 1, SDM Payal in cluster-2, SDM Abohar in Cluster - 3 and SDM Patti was selected in cluster-4.
It is pertinent to mention here that SDM Payal and her team had organized several awareness rallies, marathon and seminars were organized under DAPO program and people were motivated to join the anti drug movement of the state government.
