CM launched app for crime control and investigation created by Kangra police
On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the “Satya nishtha App”(first of its kind in the state), prepared for crime control and investigation by Kangra Police ,was duly inaugurated by Chief Minister Himachal Pradesh Shri Jai Ram Thakur in Dharamshala today.
Dharamsala, October 2, 2022: On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the “Satya nishtha App”(first of its kind in the state), prepared for crime control and investigation by Kangra Police ,was duly inaugurated by Chief Minister Himachal Pradesh Shri Jai Ram Thakur in Dharamshala today.
The Chief Minister said that the main objective of making “Satya nishtha App '' which was designed under the guidance of Superintendent of Police, District Kangra Dr. Khushal Sharma (IPS), is to map the Crime.
Thakur said that with this app the police can prepare a database of criminals involved in various crimes like theft, burglary etc and could study the various offenses that take place under different police stations in the district.
He said,” With this app a database of information regarding unknown persons, migrant labourers, foreigners and suspicious persons could be prepared to help speed up investigation of criminal cases . There shall be the facility of data entry anytime and from anywhere.”
Superintendent of Police Kangra Dr. Khushal Sharma (IPS) informed ,“Satyanishtha App” is the first app of its kind in the state. The crime data of previous years entered in it, will help in strengthening police functioning and in comparative study of crimes. This app will be useful for beat constables, police station munshis, investigation officers, station in-charges (SHO), police supervision officers (SDPO), superintendent of police and above officers. About three lakh seventy thousand rupees spent on it have been provided by the District Collector Dr. Nipun Jindal.
