CM plants sapling in Tapovan Vidhan Sabha
Says plants have a very important role in our lives, without them we cannot even imagine our existence
Dharamsala, December 15, 2021: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur planted saplings of bael patra (Aegle marmelos) in a plantation programme organised in the premises of Tapovan Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday. H.P. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar, Cabinet Ministers and MLAs participated in this programme, in which about 68 saplings of Poplar, Arjun, Amla, Bheda, Bottle brush and Kamaltara were planted. HP has 68 MLA, so each planted a sapling.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that plants have a very important role in our lives, without them we cannot even imagine our existence. The role of forests is important in preventing the effects of global warming. Trees prevent all kinds of pollution, maintain biodiversity and provide clean air to living beings, he said. He also urged the people to plant more trees in available vacant places.
This programme was organized under the joint aegis of Forest Department and Non-Government Organization and Community Radio Gunjan.
Director of Gunjan Sandeep Parmar, Project Director Vijay Kumar, Director of State Level Coordination Agency of Central Government Jyoti Sharma Bhardwaj and other senior officers were also present on this occasion.
