Dharamshala: Mr Jai Ram Thakur, Chief minister of Himachal has reached Dharamshala this morning to review the present situation of the H5N1 avian flu, which was spread in the Pong Dam reservoir among the migratory birds, which arrive here in big number from Siberians region, every year in winter.

A team of the forest and Animal Husbandry is working there to prevent its further spread. We are also checking about this virus around the other water bodies in the state, but till now other areas are safe.” Till date more than 3000 migratory birds have died in the area.
