Dharamshala, January 17, 2025:  Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu arrived in Dharamshala today, marking the start of his winter sojourn in the region. The CM’s visit, initially scheduled for Thursday, was delayed due to inclement weather.

On the first day of his nine-day stay, CM Sukhu inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several key development projects in Dharamshala, McLeodganj, and nearby areas. The Chief Minister emphasized that Kangra district's development is a top priority for the government, with efforts focused on strengthening the rural economy and expediting administrative work.

Upon his arrival at Sai Ground, CM Sukhu was warmly welcomed by Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, and other dignitaries. Speaking to the media, the CM reiterated the government’s commitment to holistic growth across all districts and underscored the importance of such visits in driving development initiatives.

During his visit, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the Dhauladhar Food Street, a key project to be constructed near the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium Road. He also inaugurated the women’s police station building at the police line and the Zila Parishad Bhawan in Dharamshala before proceeding to the Mountaineering Institute in McLeodganj.

Additionally, an important cabinet meeting of the Himachal Pradesh government is expected to take place in Dharamshala on January 24. While the official memo is awaited, it is anticipated that major announcements regarding the full statehood day celebrations on January 25 in Baijnath will be discussed.

CM Sukhu will also visit Manali on January 20, where he is set to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various development projects. His tour will conclude with the state-level Statehood Day celebrations in Baijnath on January 25, where significant announcements are expected to be made.
