CM to attend silver jubilee celebration of himachal pradesh brahmin welfare council
Former CM Shanta Kumar to preside over state level function
Dharamshala: On the eve of Silver Jubilee celebration of Himachal Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Council, a Blood Donation Camp was organized at Nagar Parishad Maidan Kangra. In this camp, 62 youth including police personnel, donated blood on Wednesday. K.C. Sharma, the retired Chief Election Commissioner of HP was the chief guest of the camp.
“Blood donation is a great donation, every citizen should participate vigorously in this sacred work,” said retired Indian Administrative Service officer KC Sharma in Kangra on Wednesday. He said that by joining the works of social service, one also gets self-satisfaction while the younger generation also gets inspiration from these works.
Whereas Dr. Bhanu Awasthi, Principal of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College attended it as a special guest. The camp was started with lighting the lamp. Most donor including police personnel and female donors supported the camp.
“CM Jai Ram Thakur will preside over the Silver Jubilee celebration of Himachal Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Council of 9th January at Kangra”, said Pt Ved Parkash president of Brahmin Welfare. He said that former CM Shanta Kumar will preside over this state level function.
On this occasion, KC Sharma and State President of Brahmin Welfare P. Ved Prakash Sharma honoured the donors with certificates and souvenirs.
