CMC and Hospital organises mega eye camp
Poor and needy patients get benefitted
Ludhiana: On the occasion of the 71st Republic Day, the Department of Ophthalmology, Christian Medical College and Hospital organized a mega eye camp in the hospital for the poor and needy patients of Ludhiana.
More than 600 patients were examined and free medicines and subsidized spectacles were provided to the patients. One hundred and forty seven needy patients were selected for surgery and will be operated in the coming week. The Department of Ophthalmology has been conducting this camp annually on Republic day for the last more than 30 years in association with various local and International NGO`s. This year too the camp was supported by many local philanthropists and international organisations like CBM.
Dr. William Bhatti, Director CMC &H, appreciated the efforts of the staff and faculty of the Department of Ophthalmology in providing state of the art services to the underprivileged section of the society through such activities which they conduct regularly throughout the year.
