CMC Ludhiana to conduct 3 Days Laparoscopic Surgery Skill Course & Live Surgery Workshop

Ludhiana, March 30, 2017: Christian Medical College Hospital has taken a step forward in imparting training in Laparoscopic Surgery by Organizing 47th Skill Course of Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI).

This 3 days’ (31st March-2nd April’2017) academic program will be attended by young surgeons and postgraduates in Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynecology from all over the country. The course will be conducted by the most distinguished faculty of AMASI and will consist of lectures & End trainer sessions simulating surgical procedures. Live surgery workshop will also be conducted on the first two days in which the surgery performed in the Operation Theatre will be relayed in the hospital auditorium with facilities for the delegates and operating surgeons to interact with each other during the surgery.

Speaking about the event, CMCs Dr. Navneet Kumar Chaudhry, Professor & Head of Surgery and a renowned Laparoscopic Surgeon himself, said that such academic programs of AMASI will widen the vision of the budding surgical fraternity on the endless possibilities of Minimal Access Surgery. The event will be formally inaugurated on 1st April 2017 by Dr. Abraham G Thomas, Director of CMC Hospital in the presence of a galaxy of laparoscopic surgeons from across the country.

Dr. Dilip Gode, National Coordinator of the AMASI Skill Course told that the main aim of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India is to spread this patient friendly technique to the masses. The conference will be attended by senior laparoscopic surgeons like Dr. Jugindra from Imphal, Dr. Om Tantia from Kokata, Dr. P Senthilnathan from Coimbatore, Dr. B S Pathania from Jammu and Dr. Rajinder Parsad from AIIMS, New Delhi.
