CMC Ludhiana doctors and staff observed `The Doctors’ Day’

Ludhiana, June 30, 2018: National Doctors' Day is celebrated on July 1 all across India to honour the legendary physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr.Bidhan Chandra Roy who was was honored with the country's highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna. He was born on July 1, 1882 and died on the same date in 1962, aged 80 years.
On this occasion over 80 doctors and staff gathered at the CMC auditorium and discussed about how doctors can make a hospitals a better for the patients. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Dhruv Ghosh, Associate Director, CMC Ludhiana encouraged the present staff and doctors and congratulated them on this day and said that doctors are vital part of the society and have a big responsibility to make this world a better place through their dedication and service towards the humanity.
To mark the occasion, Dr.Rajneesh Calton, Dr.Nalini Calton, and Dr.Jugesh Chattwal did the honor of cutting the Doctor’s Day cake. Furthering today’s message Dr. Anil Luther, Medical Superintendent, laid stress that the society is looking up to the doctors today with hope in this suffering world and doctors should go an extra mile to help the hurting, as Dr. Edith Mary Brown came to this nation in 1894 as a missionary and started this hospital to help the suffering and needy of this region.
