CMC observes World Health Organization Day - 2019
Ludhiana, April 6, 2019: The World Health Organization Day was celebrated at Mata Kaushalya Devi Pahwa Charitable Hospital, Hambran (A Unit of CMC & Hospital, Ludhiana) on 6th April, 2019 on the theme “Universal Health Coverage : Everyone, Everywhere” by the Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) & Student Nurses' Association (SNA) Unit, CMC & Hospital, Ludhiana. The program was started with devotional song followed by prayer. Mrs. Balqis Victor, President, (TNAI, Local Branch) unfolded the theme. The audience was general public, patients, their relatives, staff and employees in the OPD and Community area of the hospital. Prof. Glory Samuel-Vice Principal, welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Shavinder Singh (H.O.D., Community Medicine Deptt.) and addressed the gathering. The Chief Guest appreciated the health workers for their door to door services and encouraged the community to participate and avail the various health services provided. The role play was enacted by GNM 3rd Year (2016 batch) students. A poster exhibition was displayed on the theme by TNAI members, BSc(N) 3rd Year (2016 Batch) students & B.Sc(N) Interns (2015 Batch). Judges were Prof.(Mrs.) Glory Samuel (Vice Principal) & Prof.(Mrs.) Seema Barnabas. Mrs. Balqis Victor-President, Mrs. Prem Lata Prakash-Vice President, Mrs. Aster K. Masih-Secretary, Mrs. Jatinder Kaur-Treasurer & Mrs. Davinder Thomas-Joint Secretary, TNAI (Local Branch) extended heartfelt gratitude to all present.
