CMC signs Memorandum of Understanding with Western University of Health Sciences, California, USA

Ludhiana, April 22, 2019: In keeping up the 125 years celebration CMC Ludhiana signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Western University of Health Sciences, Pamona, California, USA. The MOA was signed by Dr.William Bhatti, Director, Dr.Jeyaraj D Pandian, Principal and Dr.Gary M Gugelchuk, CEO, Western University of Health Sciences. Dr.David Baron is the Senior Vice President and he is a world-renowned expert in De addiction being a past Deputy Director of National Institute of Drug abuse (NIDA) led the delegation from the University. Speaking on the occasion Dr.Bhatti said that there will be exchange of students and faculty from both the Institutions. Dr Jeyaraj D Pandian, Principal CMC said Research collaboration will also be explored between faculty members in areas of interest.
Dr.IvyTuason, Assistant Dean, Global Health and Innovations, and Dr. Ruth Trudgeon, Pediatric and Community Health Nursing Professor are currently visiting College of Nursing with 7 graduate students of Western University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Reena Jairus, Principal, College of Nursing stated that the nursing students will be interacting with student’s faculty in Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology department for two days. In addition, Dr.Daniel Wilson, President and Mr. Barring visited the de-addiction section of Psychiatry department at CMC.
