CME on “Decoding Genes…The Journey Continues” organised at DMCH
The Department of Molecular Genetics and Dept of Biochemistry organised a CME on “Decoding Genes…the journey continues” on 18th April to commemorate World DNA Day celebrated on 25th April.
Ludhiana, April 18, 2023: The Department of Molecular Genetics and Dept of Biochemistry organised a CME on “Decoding Genes…the journey continues” on 18th April to commemorate World DNA Day celebrated on 25th April.
Chief guest on the occasion was Ms Gurpreet Kaur Deo, Special Director Gen of Police, accompanies by Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMCH Managing Society, Mukesh Verma, Treasurer, Dr Sandeep Puri, Principal, DMCH, Dr Ashwani Chaudhary, Dr Sandeep Sharma, Medical Suptd. And Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dean Academics, DMCH.
The inauguration was done by Ms Gurpreet Kaur Deo and in her address she explained the role of molecular genetics in solving complex case to the point where science helps the police decipher criminals from innocently accused.
Secretary, Bipin Gupta lauded the efforts of the dept and encouraged them to hold more such CME’s
In her welcome address organizing chairperson Dr. Navjot Bajwa emphasized the importance of genetic testing.
Various delegates from all over India came to attend this CME and delivered lectures on various topics like “ Current Techniques in Molecular Diagnostics” by Dr Rajshri Kar, “ Introduction to Sequencing “ by Dr Binita Goswami, “ How NGS is Changing Diagnostics: Current Scenario” by Dr Puneet Nigam,
The event was an academic feast with over 200 delegates and students attending.
