CMR University hosts successful blood donation camp in collaboration with Rotaract Club and Sagar Hospitals
CMR University School of Management, in association with the Rotaract Club and Sagar Hospitals, successfully organized a blood donation camp at the CMRU HRBR Campus, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility. The initiative received an enthusiastic response, with approximately 75 students, faculty, and staff members voluntarily donating blood, resulting in the collection of 75 units in a day.

Bengaluru, February 24, 2025: CMR University School of Management, in association with the Rotaract Club and Sagar Hospitals, successfully organized a blood donation camp at the CMRU HRBR Campus, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility. The initiative received an enthusiastic response, with approximately 75 students, faculty, and staff members voluntarily donating blood, resulting in the collection of 75 units in a day.
Volunteers facilitated the process by guiding donors and ensuring a smooth experience. Post-donation, participants were provided with refreshments, including juice, biscuits, and fruits, to aid recovery. The collected blood samples were securely sealed and transported to the blood bank for further processing.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anand Bethapudi, Professor and Director of the School of Management, CMR University, lauded the initiative, stating, "The active participation of youth in today’s blood donation camp is a positive sign of voluntarism and awareness. With the demand for safe blood increasing steadily, such contributions play a crucial role in saving lives and deserve immense appreciation."
Padmacharan, a second-year MBA student and Director of the Rotaract Club of Highgrounds, emphasized the significance of the initiative, remarking, "There is no greater act of service than donating blood. It breaks down barriers of caste, creed, religion, and language, uniting people through the shared goal of saving lives."
The event successfully raised awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation while fostering a sense of social responsibility among students. The university remains dedicated to organizing such impactful initiatives, encouraging community engagement, and promoting humanitarian efforts.
