Jalandhar, February 28, 2015: Cambridge International School has always been keen to help the students to raise their level of performance to the maximum. Keeping this objective in mind, a coffee evening was organized for the parents of Grade III on February 26 wherein they got a chance to interact with the teachers over a cup of coffee. This interaction was different as it was held with the sole aim to mitigate the anxiety of the parents related to the changes in the curriculum and exams that are expected in Grade IV.

The evening started with an enactment by the students of Grade III depicting how the school helps in their holistic development. In a very interesting manner the act showed how to overcome fears and anxieties of the  Exams. Grade IV students also shared their experiences about how their positive attitude towards the change and regularity in studies and attendance has enabled them to make a mark. A mesmerising performance on a very inspiring song “Rise up” left everyone spellbound. The children perfectly matched the expressions with the emotions conveyed in the song. The parents of the students of Grade IV also expressed their views about the change from Grade III to Grade IV and how well their kids were able to cope up with the changes because of the effective parent-teacher partnership.

To know the parents’ perspective on the school matters, they were made to sit in different groups and aspects like teaching methodologies, co-curricular activities, code of conduct of the students and writing skills were discussed in detail. The keen participation of the parents was really praiseworthy.

Chairman Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Chairman Mr Deepak Bhatia, Directors Learning Wings Dr Brijesh and Mr Nitin Kohli, Director CIS Mr J K Kohli, Academic Director Ms Deepa Dogra and Principal Ms Kiranjoth Dhillon interacted with the parents and appreciated the efforts of the teachers.
