College of Medical Physics of India (CMPI) National Refresher Course at Panjab University
The Centre for Medical Physics, Panjab University has inaugurated two days College of Medical Physics of India (CMPI) National Refresher Course in association with PGIMER and Association of Medical Physicists of India (AMPI). About 75 students, interns and Medical Physicists from all over India have joined the refresher course.

About 75 students, interns and Medical Physicists from all over India have joined the refresher course.
Dr. Vivek Kumar, Chairperson, Centre for Medical Physics, Panjab University has welcomed the delegates and told about the Centre for Medical Physics, Panjab University. This Centre has 100% placements and is organizing this event for the first time in the north region of India.
Dr. Harsh Nayyer, Director, RDC was the chief guest of the programme. He has emphasised to work with the help of imaging and AI for the future developments in Medical Physics.
The first lecture was derived by Dr. Arun S. Oinam, Associate Professor, PGIMER on the topic “Principles of Radiation Dosimetry”.
Dr. S.D. Sharma, President, AMPI and RP&AD, BARC, Mumbai has talked about “AERB Regulatory Requirements Before, During and After Radiotherapy Practice”.
Dr. Paul Ravindran, Chairperson, CMPI; Dr. C.P. Bhatt, Secretary, CMPI; Dr. Sukhvir Singh, INMAS, DRDO, Delhi; Dr Manoj Semwal, Medical Physicist & RSO in Radiotherapy, Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi; Dr. T. Ganesh, Chief Medical Physicist (Ret.), Manipal Hospitals, Dwarka; Dr. Gaganpreet Singh, Medical Physicist, PGIMER and Dr. A. Tyagi, Medical Physicist & RSO in Radiotherapy, BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital, Delhi will deliver the talks during 1-2 July, 2023.
