Jalandhar, July 25, 2015: Ivy World School, Jalandhar brought together music and melody in a beautiful way to bring talent from all over the city to the fore front of recognition.  Sur Sangam, the musical extravaganza was planned by Ivy World School, Jalandhar  to give a chance to young singers and musicians to perform on a common platform. This was an importantstep by this premier institution to merge education with culture for the overall development of our students. The day was filled with patriotism and social awareness which were the themes that the teams performed on. The musical strains of various instruments and the melodious voices of the participants moved the audience to pay homage to our great country.
The event was presided by the Chief GuestMrYuvraj Hans, a famous singer and actor who comes from a renowned musical family.He is the son of eminent Sufi singer Mr. Hansraj Hans.The function was judged by eminent personalities of the music world, Ms. SatwinderJassi, wife of singer JasbirJassi. Ms. SeemaChaddha, HOD Music, SD College andMs. KuldeepKaur(Retd) HOD, HMV College.
The worthy winners were given prizes. The first prize in Group Song Category was bagged by MGN Public School; second prize went to SanskritiKMV School; while the third prize went to EMM AAR International School. Gems Cambridge School, Hoshiarpur was awarded with the consolation prize. 
The first prize in Western Solo Song Category was won by Gems Cambridge School, Hoshiarpur; second by Cambridge International School and the third by Ryan International School. 
In the Overall Trophy Category first prize was won by Gems Cambridge International School, Hoshiarpur;  second by MGN Public School and third by Cambridge International School forGirls.
The event was rounded off by the soulful performances of the students of Ivy World School.
