Communal harmony week and flag-day celebrated
Ludhiana, November 24, 2021: The communal harmony campaign week and flag-day observed from 19th -25th November annually. This year the day was celebrated today in the College Campus of DMC, under auspices of National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH), by the department of Biochemistry.
Various activities including debate, solo songs /group songs, slogan writing contest, collage competition were organised by the Medical and Paramedical Students in the campus to celebrate the National Integration Day. The day was celebrated by all the students and staff with full vigour and zeal.
The chief dignitary for the program was respected Prem Kumar Gupta, Secretary DMCH Managing Society. Other dignitaries who attended the program were Principal, Dr Sandeep Puri, Medical Superintendent Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary and Dr Sandeep Sharma.
Secretary DMCH Managing Society, Prem Kumar Gupta, in his address, lauded the efforts of the Department of Biochemistry in marking this day a memorable one for the students and faculty as well.
Principal, Dr Sandeep Puri stressed on need for promoting communal harmony in the country. In medical profession it is important to deliver health care services that meet the cultural, social, and religious needs of patients and their families.
Dr Navjot Bajwa, Professor & Head Department of Biochemistry introduced the significance of communal harmony day and sensitized the audience about need of harmony in the society for the national integration and development.
Vote of thanks was given by Dr Ekta Bansal.
The winners of different competitions were awarded certificates and prizes by the dignitaries present on the occasion.
