MP RAVNEET SINGH BITTU INSPECTS ONGOING WORK
Ludhiana, July 31, 2018: For the benefit of the commuters reaching the Ludhiana Railway Station from stadium side, another escalator is under construction. Lok Sabha MP from Ludhiana Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu today took stock of the ongoing work. He informed that they have set a deadline of September 15, 2018 for this service to start for the benefit of commuters.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier in April 2018, escalator facility was started on the other side of the Railway Station.
While inspecting the ongoing work, Mr Bittu said that Ludhiana Railway Station is one of the important railway stations of the state as thousands of commuters travel through it. He said that he has taken up the matter of upgradation of this railway station with the Punjab government as well as the Union government. He said that two lifts (elevators) and one escalator have already been installed here.
He said that the escalator would prove very beneficial for the commuters. He said that the Punjab government with help of Railway Department is committed for carrying out upgradation of all railway stations of the state. He was accompanied by his personal assistant Mr Gurdeep Singh Sarpanch, Mr Harjinder Singh Dhindsa, besides others.
