Ludhiana, April 29, 2023: The General Body Meeting of the Rajguru Nagar Senior Citizens Welfare Association (Regd), Ludhiana has expressed its thanks and deepest gratitude to Sanjeev Arora, MP (Rajya Sabha) for his generous help in completion of the Senior Citizens Bhawan Building.

According to the association president and senior journalist KS Chawla and general secretary MS Rai without Arora’s help, the building could not have been completed. “We shall remain indebted to Arora forever”, they remarked. They said the association also thanked Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik for recommending their case to Arora for the completion of Senior Citizens Bhawan.

It is learnt that the association had written to Punjab chief minister seeking help for completion of the Senior Citizens Bhawan Building following which when the matter came before Deputy Commissioner then she recommended this matter to Arora.

“Arora has provided help by providing the required construction material and labour”, said MS Rai, adding that the work went on for around five months. Now, the building and the boundary wall were ready. However, some work of tiles and finishing were pending. A few people from the office of Arora have already approached them for getting the estimate and they hope that the remaining work would be completed soon, he said. The building of the Senior Citizens Bhawan is spread in around 500 square feet area. The association has around 190 members on roll.

Meanwhile, Arora said he has not done any extra-ordinary thing by helping senior citizens in completing their Bhawan. In-fact, he strongly felt that senior citizens are big assets for the society, he said, adding that it is the moral duty of everyone to extend help to senior citizens in one or another way. He said he has already provided every possible help for completion of the building. He would be happy to do further, if required, he added.
