Congress fulfils all its promises, while BJP works contrary to its promises: Ex CM Hooda

Rohtak, May 12, 2024. Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that Congress fulfils whatever it promises, while the BJP does exactly the opposite of what it says.

“Congress implemented rights like the Constitution, Right to Education, Right to Food, Right to Education, MNREGA, RTI in the country. IIT, IIM, AIIMS, Green Revolution, White Revolution, Industrial Revolution, Computer Revolution, IT Revolution, Vaccination are all the contributions of Congress. Congress did all these tasks considering them as the responsibility of the government, while on the other hand BJP wants people to be grateful, without doing anything,” he said.

Hooda said BJP promised to double the income of farmers, but on the contrary it increased the cost of farmers manifold. “BJP promised to provide houses to the poor, but it even stopped Congress's scheme of allotment of free plots of 100 square yards. BJP pushed 63% of the people of Haryana into the quagmire of poverty,” he said.

“BJP promised to give the same pay scale to the employees as in Punjab, but it refused to even give the old pension to the employees. Instead of opening new schools, BJP closed 5000 schools. This government did not establish any national or international level educational institution in the state. Till date this government has not established any medical college or any big university,” he pointed out.

He said BJP's indifferent attitude towards the education system is such that it did not make even a single JBT recruitment during its entire tenure. “More than 2 lakh posts of employees are vacant in Haryana, but the BJP is not ready to talk on unemployment, even during the elections. Whereas Congress promised to provide 30 lakh jobs in the Center and more than 2 lakh jobs in Haryana. Now all communities of the state have made up their mind to bid farewell to this government,” he said.

Hooda today reached Titauli, Khidwali, Kiloi, Bohar and Ismaila villages of Kiloi constituency to address election meetings. Seeing the enthusiasm of the people, he claimed the big victory of Congress candidate Deepender Hooda from Rohtak. He also appealed to all the people to work hard for the next two weeks.

“Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi constituency should play the biggest role in BJP's defeat. This time the aim of the area should be to increase the vote percentage and defeat BJP with record votes. The more votes cast, the bigger the BJP’s defeat,” he urged the voters.
