Dharamshala: Sujan Singh Pathania, MLA of Fatehpur, Vidhan Sabha constituency and former transport and energy minister of District Kangra, died on Thursday night. Sujan Singh Pathania, 86, was suffering from various diseases for the last few years. He was undergoing treatment in Chandigarh and Ludhiana for a long time.
Sujan Singh Pathania has been instrumental in the development of Fatehpur. The result of this was that when he was not able to get out of the house due to illness in the 2019 assembly elections and was on bed, he was chosen as MLA by the public. Due to sickness, he has not been able to attend the assembly session even once in the last three years.
Sujan Singh Pathania was considered close to Virbhadra Singh. He has been the minister, twice in the Virbhadra government. He is also known as the minister of hand pumps.
CM HP Jai Ram Thakur and Many political leaders have sent condolence messages on the death of Pathania.
