Congress workers and environmentalists plant trees at Vidhan Sabha constituency Atam Nagar and South
Celebrate Environment Day
Ludhiana: Congress workers and environmentalists led by Punjab State Industries Development Corporation Chairman Kirshan Kumar Bawa and Large Industries Chairman Pawan Diwan planted trees at Atam Nagar and South Assembly constituencies on the occasion of Environment Day.
Bawa and the Diwan said that the steps being taken by the entire team including the Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh to make Punjab pollution free were commendable. He said that clean environment was essential for the future of humanity. He said that the rapid deterioration of the environment in India was a matter of grave concern. Today, every citizen of the country should be serious about the environment and plant at least five saplings with his own hands and take care of them like a family member so that the future of future generations can be secured.
On this occasion, Ward President Resham Singh Sagu, Lakhwinder Singh Lali, Manpreet Verma, Dr. Unkar Chand Sharma, Ravi Verma, Harvesh Pandey, Amrik Singh Gharial, Jagdish Singh Lote, Randhir Singh Dahele, Inderjit Singh Navyug, Iqbal Singh Riyat, Gagandeep Sohal, Hardev Singh, Gurmeet Kaur, Simarjit Kaur, Jasbir Singh Panesar and Ratan Singh were present.
